Viral Video is the Tired Blogger's Friend
What do you post when you're suffering from a sudden late-night onset of brain failure? If you're me, you help promote a band you've never heard of by linking to the very clever video for their very catchy song featuring their very cute singer.
Apparently, between this and Feist, them alternagirls have it worked out that product partnering with Apple is the way to get the geek bucks flowing to their iTunes offerings...
Karl? This one is definitely up your alley. In fact, I think they named the alley in honor of you...

I do enjoy the song. And I do enjoy the deliciously Mac based video. But I watch it and I just wonder who has that much time on their hands to create that video.
Large sections of it are stop motion animation created by opening windows with slightly different images in them to get the smooth, film like quality.
The best touch is the simple directions at the end for purchasing the song. Brilliant move.
Someone who was presumably paid to have the time.
Caveat emptor: I'm not entirely convinced that girl in the video is the singer in the band... still, I've listened to a bunch of other stuff and it's all pretty good.

Ah. It is as you suggested - a fan film. And the girl is not the singer.

Okay, not 'fan film.' College reel film.
