The Subway Rambler (Online)
This isn't from some guy who just spends his time rambling around the tunnels of the MTA. The name is a shortened form of the blog's original title, "That Rambling Guy on the Subway, Online." Hope that clears things up for you.

What's with all the youtibe clips?
I can't even see them at work cause of a firewall...
I hate youtube clips..
Sorry - I've been too busy to generate actual content, and I hate going dark for so many days in a row.
So, in order:
- Today was Isaac Asimov talking about the early days of science-fiction.
- Yesterday was Billy Joel performing 'Pressure,' in 1994.
- Tuesday was Tom Lehrer performing 'National Brotherhood Week,' in 1968 - specifically for the line, "The Protestants hate the Catholics/and the Catholics hate the Protestants/The Hindus hate the Muslims/and everybody hates the Jews."

Was Tom Lehrer a Jew?
He was a huge favourite of my mother's and I always discovered later that all these people she loved all tunred out to be jewish..
I'm pretty sure he's of Irish ancestry. But he's a mathematician - that's the next best thing to being Jewish.
You know, Lehrer pretty much was active only in the 60's... and he was a great live performer, I must say.
