The Subway Rambler (Online)

This isn't from some guy who just spends his time rambling around the tunnels of the MTA. The name is a shortened form of the blog's original title, "That Rambling Guy on the Subway, Online." Hope that clears things up for you.

That Was Nice

Of all the possible ways I could spend my weekend, I can't think of a better reality than what actually transpired: me and Yesenia, on the couch, under the blanket, Christmas lights on, watching DVD after DVD while snacking on leftovers.

Hope your pre- and post-Christmas were as lovely as ours.

Bear in mind, it wasn't the quality of the films that made the weekend so nice as the quality of the company:

- Flight of the Conchords Season 2
- 500 Days of Summer
- The Hangover
- Monsters vs. Aliens
- While You Were Sleeping
- Bender's Game
- Bart Got a Room
- Angels and Demons

Bran said 500 Days was infuriating and realitic at the same time..

I tried watching 3 minutes of Monsters vs Aliens before I shut it off.. total crap... I couldnt take the annoying OVER THE TOP facial expressions

Angels and Demons.. completely irrelevant hack plot.. that I guessed in under a minute..

Monsters vs. Aliens wasn't great, but I was entertained (it helped that we watched that one with Max & Matilda, who love it). 500 Days is like a rorschach test, because it's told from the POV of the Joseph Gordon-Levitt character - so it think the believability and annoyance is in the eyes of the viewer.

I actually liked 'Angels & Demons' a lot, although I do wonder if it's just because my expectations for it had been lowered to about zero. I mean, it was a sequel to a film I disliked adapted from a book by a writer whom I can't even get through one chapter of...

...anyway, I liked it.
